Laura sent me a package with a fun cd and other random goodies, including some Yogi Kombucha tea. It was a really nice to surprise to come home to after a looooong day of internship and then classes.

Here are the vids that Joe and I made (with my cam at least) between landing in NYC and meeting up with Viddler crew for the Haydenfilms Film Festival Awards Ceremony. First one is my first visit to an Apple store (the one near Central Park), the second one is in Central Park, and the third one is at the best pizza place I've ever been to in my entire life.

Things that Brandice has done in the past three days of weekendness:

-Wedding planning is in full force. Ugh/yay. ;)

-Jim and I went to see 27 Dresses on Friday night and it was really funny, super cute, and Jim laughed several times, so it's a pretty good date movie.


-Saturday was my first day of weekend classes, then I hightailed it to Cleveland, where we saw Kicker (1st time for me since his accident) and many of Jim's college buds at BW3's in Strongsville.


-After seeing Kicker and friends, we went up to Tremont, picked up Ken and then partied at The Bier Markt for Kate and Walter's birthdays. I drank lots of Hoegaarden and saw lots of friends... we passed out at Ken's later after lots of (not involving me) drunken drama.


-Yesterday, I drove home from Cleveland and then slept until 5:30. I woke up to find that Jim had cleaned a good portion of the apartment, gone grocery shopping, and cooked a full meal of homemade red skin garlic mashed potatoes, pot roast, corn, and had for some reason also purchased an entire cake for dessert.

-Oh, and late on Friday, I finished Roswell Season 3 (the final season). Ending was GOOOD, although a little sad.

Well, this is a neat little thing I discovered when my Twittermail sent me a notification that I'd received a present:

I sent iJustine some coffee for her Starbucks fix in the morning.

It's so strange that Twitter gifting and making apple cider to send to World of Warcraft friends in-game is the closest I've come to having holiday spirit this year. Whatever works, I guess. :)

I was talking about how my Facebook mobile uploads wouldn't work while chatting with iJustine on her TalkShoe talkcast, and then twenty minutes later, they started working again after over a month of being broken!

Many thanks to Chris for helping me fix my iMovie situation! You will once again be inundated with video once I catch up with and sort the rest of TGIO and a couple other vids.

So, I'm completely psyched that Brandice.net is getting an upgrade in the very near future... totally new look and logos made from that old cartoon image of me from some site a gazillion years ago that I've been using on Twitter and at Viddler.

Just get ready, peeps. It's gonna rock. Minimalistically awesome, and I can't wait. :)

So, I just had the most incredibly cool conversation with Chris Baty from National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo.org) and The Office of Letters and Light.

What a fun, enthusiastic, passionately open person! :) I emailed him last night about ideas for expanding Nanowrimo participation into a more multi-media experience and he immediately emailed me back with enthusiasm (and a phone number) and we just talked for about a half an hour about Viddler, lifecasting, and Twitter.

I'm incredibly excited to get the go-ahead on a few ideas I had, but I want to wait until they've started to head toward fruition to elaborate. Wrimo's, get ready for a whole new level of interactive, community supported writing! :)

I bought an iPhone today.

It is teh sweet.

I'm glad I waited until it was cheaper by oh... say, $200?

Plus, my old phone is still worth half of what the iPhone is, so I really haven't spend that much. (Justifying it to myself, shaddup.)

I just scored my third feature video on Viddler.com with the unveiling of my Harry Potter book yesterday.  w00t.

So, I capped out tonight at 270 viewers on http://live.brandice.net. I beat Chris Pirillo for viewers by 200% at one point, holy shmokes, batman! Insanity + awesome = lifecasting. :)

I have to say the lifecasting thing has been a ton of fun... I've received impromptu tech support, advice on good wines, education on using IRC and Trillian, I've been spreading the word about Viddler.com, and a couple people I haven't chatted with in a while have popped by to say hi and it's cool to be able to read their greetings and just respond on cam in real time.

Totally surreal tonight. Cool.

In other news, I have to work tomorrow, so it's bedtime for me. :) Happy frickin' Friday, all!

Dude. I have accomplished HAWESOMENESS in WoW today.

Here is my list of utter and complete geek greatness:

1. I hit level 68 and obtained druid flight form, which enables me to turn into an awesome bird and fly anywhere I please. I am l33t.

2. I purchased my epic land mount. FINALLY.

3. I am only 125 rep points away from being Honored with Lower City in Shattrath.

4. I upgraded both my shoulders and my helm for my tanking set.

5. I upgraded my fishing pole and have hit 300 in fishing (holy looooong grind, batman!).

6. I completed an 8-step chain of quests that left me with a super sweet little bird pet named Miniwing, through an escort quest I did while working on the last step of this chain.

Oh. MY. GOD. I am beside myself with geek pride. Totally beside myself.

Have obtained insurance for car, and will be picking up said car (which is now fixed and ready to go) tomorrow morning before heading to the all-day Canton Nanowrimo write-in at Panera. Very exciting times indeed. Since I haven't left home in several days, this could actually be a culture shock!
